Emblem of Wales - the emblem used by the Prince of Wales. Unlike the arms of England and Scotland emblem in the past was not very common in Wales, but sometimes used more and more. Before the British conquest of Wales fragmented principalities of Wales used different characters.
In 1953 Royal mark was set in Wales. Mark consists of a shield divided into two parts - white and green with a placed in the center red dragon, the same as on the flag of Wales. The shield is surrounded by a garter with the words «Y Ddraig Goch Ddyry Cychwyn» (vall. "red dragon inspires action"). Sign crowning crown of St. Edward.

ReplyDeleteThank you very much for good assessment of our work, we really try to find and post here interesting information, where everyone can find something for himself.
ReplyDeleteDear Natalia,
ReplyDeleteOn your site I found a lot of new information about Wales. Thank you very much for it. Traveling to Wales sounds great! So I hope I can visit it one day.
It was very interesting for me to read about the history of the country, and I can agree with you that among the main attractions that keep tourists coming back year after year are the numerous castles within the Cardiff and in nearby towns. And it would be nice if you add more photos with castle views and write more about them.
The nature of Wales is fantastic! With the help of your links I learned more about the lakes, rivers, waterfalls and mountains.
I knew that the leek and the daffodil are the symbols of Wales, but just on your site I found an explanation why these plants were selected.
The cultural program offered by your agency is really great! Each of these concerts is a good opportunity to meet famous singers and to have a good time.
Also I found very useful sites about an arriving in Cardiff. But I wonder if you could give more detail information about airlines that produce cheaper flights for students?
Next, I would like some more information about the food and about the restaurants. I know that there is a great variety of the restaurants in the Cardiff, and it is so hard to choose between them.
Yours faithfully,
Katya Kroshka.

Dear friends,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sites! I found there all the information I was interested in.
I would like to tell you about my trip to Kamchatka Peninsula (the Russian Federation).
Of course, it is not the USA, but it is very beautiful peninsula with unusual nature.
It lies between the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Sea of Okhotsk to the west.
More than half of the population lives in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and nearby Yelizovo.
The summers are moderately cool, and the winters are frosty with great snowfalls. There is sometimes so much snow that you can’t find your car and you can’t open the door of your house.
The main attraction of Kamchatka are volcanoes. When you look at them you understand that you are just a small human and you feel their huge power - the power of nature. I even can’t find any words to describe the feeling. It’s very exciting!
The highest volcano is Klyuchevskaya Sopka, the largest active volcano in the Northern Hemisphere, while the most striking is Kronotsky, whose perfect cone was said by celebrated volcanologists Robert and Barbara Decker to be a prime candidate for the world's most beautiful volcano. Somewhat more accessible are the three volcanoes visible from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky: Koryaksky, Avachinsky, and Kozelsky. In the center of Kamchatka is Eurasia's world famous Geyser Valley which was partly destroyed by a massive mudslide in June 2007.
Also Kamchatka is best known for the abundance and size of its brown bears. Other fauna include a wolf, arctic and other fox, lynx. The peninsula is the breeding ground for Steller's sea eagle, one of the largest eagle species.
Kamchatka contains probably the world's greatest diversity of salmonid fish, including all six species of anadromous Pacific salmon. Biologists estimate that a sixth to a quarter of all Pacific salmon originates in Kamchatka.
I could speak about it during the hours, but I have to finish my story.
Yours faithfully,
Katya Kroshka.
